Abstract

CARABALLO BETANCORT, Antonio Miguel  and  ESTEVEZ GUERRA, Gabriel Jesús. Role or Nursing in the face of climate change. Ene. [online]. 2021, vol.15, n.1, 1013.  Epub Dec 06, 2021. ISSN 1988-348X.

Climate change is presented as an undeniable risk to the health of the population. Nurses, guarantors of health, must act in the face of this problem. Unfortunately, the role of Nursing in the face of Climate Change is still little known. To identify the main activities to be carried out in this area by this collective, a bibliographical review of a narrative type has been carried out, after which the different activities identified have been classified into four areas of action: education, practice, policy and research. In conclusion, regardless of the position occupied by each nurse, everyone can act in some way in the face of Climate Change, which represents both a challenge and an opportunity for the development of this profession.
