The training of future nursing professionals should strengthen and improve competencies in the promotion of community health. In the last academic year of nursing degree, university students elaborate the Final Project, which has the purpose to assess the student's general competencies in the degree. The Service-Learning is a project modality, where students develop a reflective journal, being the reflexive an essential part in their academic and professional development. The students who choose the Service-Learning project modality develop a specific skill, which involve their compromise with the community. This has an effect on their sense of ethics and social responsibility in their direct contact with the community.
