Abstract

Introduction:

Young adults have become a vulnerable group, coupled with the public health emergency of COVID-19, caused psychological impacts, requiring nursing care.

Objective:

To develop a nursing care plan for young adults diagnosed with Severe Anxiety Disorder during a COVID-19 pandemic.

Method:

Clinical case study, in a 25-year-old young adult, under the methodology of the Nursing Care Process, the assessment was guided with the approach of the General Theory of Self-Care Deficit, NANDA was used, they were selected results and interventions through the NOC, NIC Taxonomies and Clinical Practice Guidelines.

Results:

7 nursing labels were identified, 6 real, 1 risk, self-mutilation, stress due to overload, deterioration of mood regulation, risk of suicide, constipation, deterioration of resilience. 7 care plans were developed.

Conclusion:

The application of the process allowed to diagnose and rank accurately, to intervene, favoring emotional balance and personal well-being.
