Abstract

Aim.
To determine the levels of student satisfaction in a faculty of human medicine due to the sudden virtualization of teaching in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Subjects and methods.
Quantitative, observational, prospective, cross-sectional study. A virtual questionnaire was applied, based on a Likert scale, previously validated by expert judgment with reliability Cronbach's alpha 0,875, stratified random probability sampling from April to July 2020.
Results.
The sample consisted of 263 students who accepted through informed consent to be part of the sample, 64.64% belonging to the female gender, with a mean age of 21.8 ± 5 years. The level of satisfaction identified in the virtual learning resources dimension was 48.29% medium, 38.02% high, 13.69% low; in virtual accompaniment 45.63% high, 40.30% medium, 14.07% low; in virtual collaboration 56.65% medium, 27.76% high, 15.59% low; in competencies 44.87% medium, 29.66% low, 25.48% high, in quality dimension of the institution 62.74% medium, 20.53% high, 16.73% low; in student expectations 58.94% medium, 26.24% high, 14.83% low, and in teaching 49.05% high, 36.50% medium, 14.45% low.
Conclusion.
The predominant level of satisfaction in the virtual learning resources dimension was medium, in virtual accompaniment, high, in virtual collaboration, medium, in competencies, medium, in the quality dimension of the institution, medium, student expectations, medium and in teaching high.
