The traditional model in education in Mexico has not been sufficient to generate the professional academic impact that is required according to the population's development and health needs, the constructivist approach evokes thinking and could generate more assertive solutions in terms of learning of the nursing professional.

Aim.

This focused on describing the impact of the constructivist approach on the nursing leveling process.

Material and methods.

A systematic review was carried out on the internet using keywords; Traditional model of education, constructivist approach, education in Mexico, teaching and learning in nursing.

Results.

The information was classified and the analysis was carried out with the idea of ​​substantiating the proposal to emphasize the teaching-learning process of nursing, it was found that health needs require that the nursing professional be trained under the constructivist approach.

Conclusion.

The proposal to generate learning through the constructivist model of education represents the viability of said project, since it generates an active and transforming mind of the nursing professional. Otherwise the exercise of the profession focused on memorial learning condemns to continue with negative results.
