Introduction:
The Medical Service of a Spanish banking multinational has two ambulances in its two medical centers in Madrid.
Objectives:
The aim of the study is to know the most prevalent medical emergencies attended outside the Medical Service from 2015 to 2022 according to gender and age distribution.
Material and Methods:
Descriptive cross-sectional study of emergencies classified according to the “Consensus Guide on the provision of Occupational Medicine services”, by sex and age. For statistical analysis, R and logistic regression were used.
Results:
Company with 19,120 employees in Madrid (average age 43.99 years, 49% women and 51% men). A total of 409 emergencies were attended (mean age 42 years, 59.65% women, 40.35% men). The most prevalent were general (33.7%), mainly syncope, followed by trauma (23.7%).
Conclusions:
The distribution is similar to that described by other authors. Sex and age do not influence the distribution of emergencies attended outside the Medical Service.
