Hasta ahora estos factores desencadenantes no han sido identificados de manera clara, y en teoría los factores de crecimiento podrían ayudar a estabilizar el complejo del folículo piloso al brindarle mayor oxigenación y nutrición por medio de la neovascularización. El objetivo del presente trabajo es determinar la eficacia clínica del plasma rico en plaquetas (PRP) para el tratamiento de alopecias no cicatrízales, estudiando el tiempo requerido para evidenciar una disminución de la caída de cabello, para el crecimiento de cabello sano, el tiempo prudente para observar una mayor densidad poblacional del cabello y la satisfacción del paciente.  Material y Método Realizamos un estudio clínico experimental, prospectivo y longitudinal de seguimiento de 261 pacientes con alopecia androgenética masculina (AGA por sus siglas en inglés) hasta grado IV y AGA en mujeres hasta grado II, y en ambos sexos con efluvio telógeno diagnosticados por historia clínica, tricrograma, y controlados con fotografía digital con microscopia de 6X. A todos se les aplicó de forma ambulatoria PRP intradérmico en cuero cabelludo bajo sedación endovenosa y oxigenación al 100%. El estudio se realizó entre abril de 2013 y abril del 2015 en el Instituto Peruano de Ingeniería Celular - INGECEL AC.  Resultados Observamos en promedio que la disminución de la caída de cabello se dio a las 4.56 semanas, la evidencia de crecimiento de cabello a las 10.8 semanas. El aumento de la densidad fue evidente en varones a los 4.6 meses y en mujeres a los 7.25 meses. Para la medición de satisfacción utilizamos escala visual análoga del 1 al 10, con un resultado promedio de 7.6 en mujeres y 7 en varones. No hubo casos sin respuesta positiva al tratamiento ni fracasos.  Conclusiones Al margen de diferencias de tiempos de recuperación entre varones y mujeres en la respuesta, creemos que el uso de factores de crecimiento disminuye la pérdida capilar en lesiones no cicatrizales prolongando la vida del folículo, mejorando la calidad de éste, aumentando la densidad del cabello y conlleva un alto grado de satisfacción de los pacientes por los resultados obtenidos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ Background and Objective Hair loss and the loss of response of our body, responds to a series of biochemical disorders that in a short time affects the microscopic structure of the hair follicle irreversibly. So far these trigger factors have not been identified clearly and in theory, the growth factors could help stabilize the hair follicle complex by providing greater oxygenation and nutrition through neovascularization. Our aim is to determine the clinical efficacy of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for the management of non-scarring alopecies, studying the time required to demonstrate a decrease in hair loss, for healthy hair growth, time prudent to observe a higher population density of hair and patient satisfaction.  Methods We carried out an experimental, prospective and longitudinal clinical study of follow-up of 261 patients with male androgenetic alopecia (AGA) up to grade IV and AGA women up to grade II, and in both sexes with telogen effluvium diagnosed by clinical history, tricrogram and controlled with digital photography with 6X microscopy. All patients underwent ambulatory intradermal PRP on the scalp under endovenous sedation and 100% oxygenation. The study was conducted between April 2013 and April 2015 at the Peruvian Institute of Cellular Engineering - INGECEL AC.  Results We observed on average that the decrease in hair loss occurred at 4.56 weeks, evidence of hair growth at 10.8 weeks. The increase in density was evident in males at 4.6 months and in the female group at 7.25 months. To measure satisfaction, the visual analogue scale 1 to 10 was used, obtaining an average of 7.6 in women and 7 in men. There were no cases without positive response to treatment or failures.  Conclusions Regardless of differences in recovery times between men and women in response, we believe that the use of growth factors decreases hair loss in no scar injuries prolonging the life of the follicle, improving the quality of this, increases hair density and carries a high degree of patient satisfaction with the results achieved.]]></p></abstract>
