Methods: Twenty two under-17 soccer players (16.4 ± 0.4 years; 70.0 ± 7.1 kg; 175.9 ± 6.9 cm) were evaluated before and after two weeks of detraining. Anthropometric measurements, countermovement (CMJ) and squat jumps (SJ) and sprint speed tests were performed. Results: There was a significant increase in body fat (p < 0.001) and despite the fact that the decrease in the speed was no significant (p &gt; 0.05), an increase of 2.24% in the 0-5 m time (ES = 0.78) and 0.97% in the 0-20 m time (ES = 0.41) were observed. In addition, there was an upward trend in the SJ (p = 0.056). Conclusion: Two weeks of detraining resulted in significant alterations of the body composition and in speed performance (from 0 to 5 m) in young elite soccer players.]]></p></abstract>

Método: Veintidós jugadores (16.4 ± 0.4 años, 70.0 ± 7.1 kg, 175.9 ± 6.9 cm) se sometieron a evaluaciones de composición corporal, saltos verticales y velocidad (carreras de 20 metros), antes y después de 2 semanas de desentrenamiento. Resultados: Se encontraron aumentos significativos en el porcentaje de grasa corporal (p < 0.001) y a pesar de que la disminución de la velocidad no fue significativa (p &gt; 0.05), hubo una reducción del 2.24% (ES = 0.78) y del 0.97% (ES = 0.41) en los tiempos en 5 y 20 m, respectivamente. Igualmente, se observó una tendencia al aumento del salto sin contramovimiento (p = 0.056). Conclusión: Dos semanas de desentrenamiento produjeron alteraciones significativas en la composición corporal y en la velocidad (entre 0-5 m) de los jóvenes futbolistas.]]></p></abstract>

Desentrenamiento.</font></p> <hr size="1">     <p>&nbsp;</p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2"><b>Introdu&ccedil;&atilde;o</b></font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">No futebol, o desempenho competitivo depende da intera&ccedil;&atilde;o de diferentes fatores como composi&ccedil;&atilde;o corporal, pot&ecirc;ncia muscular e velocidade m&aacute;xima atingida pelos jogadores em curtas dist&acirc;ncias (velocidade de <i>sprint</i>)<sup>1</sup>. Esses fatores podem oscilar ao longo da temporada que, usualmente, se divide em 3 per&iacute;odos: pr&eacute;-temporada, per&iacute;odo competitivo e per&iacute;odo de transi&ccedil;&atilde;o. A pr&eacute;-temporada corresponde ao tempo existente entre a volta das f&eacute;rias e o primeiro jogo oficial do campeonato (in&iacute;cio de temporada). Durante esse per&iacute;odo, com o intuito de maximizar as adapta&ccedil;&otilde;es biol&oacute;gicas decorrentes do treinamento sistem&aacute;tico, &eacute; comum priorizar a prepara&ccedil;&atilde;o f&iacute;sica. Logo na sequ&ecirc;ncia, o per&iacute;odo competitivo visa, prioritariamente, manter ou potencializar a forma f&iacute;sica adquirida durante a pr&eacute;-temporada, enquanto que, ap&oacute;s o per&iacute;odo de transi&ccedil;&atilde;o (per&iacute;odo de f&eacute;rias), espera-se uma redu&ccedil;&atilde;o no desempenho f&iacute;sico global, devido &agrave; aus&ecirc;ncia dos treinamentos f&iacute;sicos e/ou t&eacute;cnicos espec&iacute;ficos<sup>2</sup>.</font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">J&aacute; est&aacute; bem estabelecido que as varia&ccedil;&otilde;es de volume e intensidade de treinamento, que ocorrem durante toda a temporada competitiva, s&atilde;o essenciais para a manuten&ccedil;&atilde;o do desempenho dos futebolistas<sup>3</sup>. Por outro lado, as fases exaustivas de treinamento aliadas aos curtos per&iacute;odos de recupera&ccedil;&atilde;o parecem estar diretamente associadas &agrave; fadiga acumulada e a uma maior incid&ecirc;ncia das les&otilde;es musculoesquel&eacute;ticas<sup>4</sup>. Al&eacute;m disso, foi reportado que os per&iacute;odos de destreinamento de curto ( &le; 4 semanas) ou longo prazo ( &gt; 4 semanas)<sup>5</sup> s&atilde;o capazes de reduzir o desempenho das capacidades de for&ccedil;a, pot&ecirc;ncia muscular e velocidade, prejudicando o rendimento esportivo<sup>6,7</sup>.</font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">Com a inten&ccedil;&atilde;o de preservar a integridade dos jovens atletas e n&atilde;o exp&ocirc;-los a uma alta demanda de treinamento e competi&ccedil;&atilde;o, algumas entidades que regulamentam o futebol elaboram o calend&aacute;rio competitivo das categorias de base com uma menor frequ&ecirc;ncia semanal de competi&ccedil;&otilde;es (geralmente, uma partida por semana). Outro aspecto comum na organiza&ccedil;&atilde;o desses campeonatos &eacute; a suspens&atilde;o das competi&ccedil;&otilde;es nos per&iacute;odos dos recessos escolares, permitindo que os jovens atletas descansem e se recuperem adequadamente. Contudo, se por um lado, esse per&iacute;odo de recupera&ccedil;&atilde;o contribui para preservar a integridade dos jovens atletas (que possuem dose-resposta de treino diferente)<sup>8</sup>, por outro, pode provocar aumento do percentual de gordura, decl&iacute;nio na velocidade dos processos bioqu&iacute;micos para obten&ccedil;&atilde;o de energia, e queda de desempenho f&iacute;sico e de rendimento competitivo<sup>5</sup>.</font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">Os preju&iacute;zos causados pelo destreinamento em diferentes modalidades est&atilde;o bem descritos na literatura<sup>6,7</sup>. Em futebolistas adultos, estudos pr&eacute;vios demonstraram que 3 semanas de destreinamento foram suficientes para aumentar o percentual de gordura corporal (&#37;GC) de 9.6 &plusmn; 2.5&#37; para 12.6 &plusmn; 3.3&#37; (&asymp; 30&#37;) e diminuir o desempenho da velocidade com aumento do tempo dos 50 m de 7.1 &plusmn; 0.5 s para 7.6 &plusmn; 0.5 s (&asymp; 7&#37;)<sup>9</sup>. Amigo et al.<sup>10</sup> reportaram que per&iacute;odos mais prolongados de destreinamento (6-8 semanas) em jovens futebolistas tamb&eacute;m foram capazes de reduzir a &aacute;rea de sec&ccedil;&atilde;o transversa das fibras musculares do tipo I e tipo II, e tamb&eacute;m a atividade das enzimas creatina quinase, citrato sintase, fosfofrutoquinase, lactato desidrogenase e aspartato aminotransferase, as quais exercem papel fundamental na ress&iacute;ntese de ATP durante atividades de alta intensidade.</font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">Apesar dos resultados supracitados, os efeitos do destreinamento sobre a aptid&atilde;o f&iacute;sica espec&iacute;fica de jovens futebolistas de elite ainda n&atilde;o est&atilde;o bem documentados. No melhor de nosso conhecimento, apenas 2 estudos analisaram o efeito do destreinamento em jovens futebolistas<sup>5,10</sup>. No entanto, em nenhuma dessas investiga&ccedil;&otilde;es as amostras foram constitu&iacute;das por atletas de elite. Assim, enquanto Melchiori et al.<sup>5</sup> verificaram redu&ccedil;&otilde;es de 22.7&#37; no consumo de oxig&ecirc;nio (VO<sub>2</sub>) na velocidade do limiar aer&oacute;bio, de 25.8&#37; no VO<sub>2</sub> na velocidade do limiar anaer&oacute;bio e de 21.2&#37; no VO<sub>2</sub> m&aacute;ximo. Amigo et al.<sup>10</sup> demonstraram, ap&oacute;s 8 semanas de destreinamento, redu&ccedil;&otilde;es na &aacute;rea de sec&ccedil;&atilde;o transversa das fibras musculares e na atividade das enzimas creatina quinase, citrato sintase, fosfofrutoquinase, lactato desidrogenase e aspartato aminotransferase. Adicionalmente, os autores avaliaram os efeitos do destreinamento apenas nas altera&ccedil;&otilde;es da aptid&atilde;o aer&oacute;bia, na estrutura muscular (&aacute;rea da sec&ccedil;&atilde;o transversa das fibras tipo I e tipo II do m&uacute;sculo vastolateral) e na diminui&ccedil;&atilde;o das atividades enzim&aacute;ticas (creatinequinase, citratosintase, fosfofrutoquinase, lactato desidrogenase e da aspartato aminotransferase)<sup>5,10</sup>. Desse modo, os efeitos de 2 semanas de destreinamento nas capacidades de pot&ecirc;ncia muscular e velocidade c&iacute;clica em jovens futebolistas de elite ainda carecem de investiga&ccedil;&atilde;o cient&iacute;fica.</font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">Portanto, o objetivo desse estudo foi investigar os efeitos do destreinamento de curto prazo na composi&ccedil;&atilde;o corporal, na altura do salto vertical (SV) e na velocidade linear de jogadores sub17 da elite do futebol brasileiro. Hipotetizamos que um per&iacute;odo de destreinamento de 2 semanas estaria associado a um aumento do &#37;GC em jovens futebolistas de elite e, al&eacute;m disso, provocaria redu&ccedil;&otilde;es significantes em suas capacidades f&iacute;sicas.</font></p>     ]]></body>
<body><![CDATA[<p>&nbsp;</p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2"><b>M&eacute;todo</b></font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2"><i>Sujeitos</i></font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">A amostra foi selecionada por conveni&ecirc;ncia e foi composta de 22 futebolistas da categoria sub17 (idade: 16.4 &plusmn; 0.4 anos; massa corporal: 70.0 &plusmn; 7.1 kg; estatura: 175.9 &plusmn; 6.9 cm). Nos 3 meses que antecederam o estudo, nenhum atleta utilizou suplementos alimentares, anti-inflamat&oacute;rios ou outros medicamentos que pudessem afetar o desempenho f&iacute;sico. Desse modo, todos os atletas estavam em plenas condi&ccedil;&otilde;es de sa&uacute;de e sem les&atilde;o pr&eacute;via clinicamente diagnosticada nos &uacute;ltimos 6 meses. Vale destacar que, no ano do estudo, essa equipa sagrou-se campe&atilde; brasileira sub17, tendo, inclusive, alguns dos seus atletas convocados para compor a sele&ccedil;&atilde;o nacional da categoria.</font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">O presente trabalho foi aprovado pelo comit&ecirc; de &eacute;tica da Universidade Estadual de Londrina (processo 220/2010, CAAE registro n. 0202.0.0268.000-10) e seguiu todas as normas de estudos com seres humanos, conforme as recomenda&ccedil;&otilde;es do CNS 96/96 da Associa&ccedil;&atilde;o M&eacute;dica Mundial e a Declara&ccedil;&atilde;o de Helsinki<sup>11</sup>.</font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2"><i>Delineamento experimental</i></font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">A rotina desses atletas era constitu&iacute;da de, aproximadamente, 2 horas di&aacute;rias de treinamento, 5 vezes por semana, sempre com um jogo aos s&aacute;bados. As sess&otilde;es de treinamento eram compostas por treino f&iacute;sico (2 vezes na semana, 30-45 min), treino t&eacute;cnico-t&aacute;tico (2 vezes na semana, &asymp; 60-80 min) e m&eacute;todos de recupera&ccedil;&atilde;o ativos (uma vez na semana, sess&atilde;o de 30-45 min de alongamento e/ou hidrogin&aacute;stica). Os atletas foram avaliados antes (PR&Eacute;) e ap&oacute;s (P&Oacute;S) 2 semanas de destreinamento, durante a pausa do Campeonato Paulista de 2013 que ocorreu entre a 14.<sup>a</sup> e a 15.<sup>a</sup> rodadas do campeonato (i.e.; entre os dias 13-27 de julho do referido ano). Durante esse per&iacute;odo os atletas foram orientados a n&atilde;o realizar nenhum tipo de treinamento e n&atilde;o participaram de atividades competitivas ou recreativas.</font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">As seguintes avalia&ccedil;&otilde;es foram realizadas:</font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">N&iacute;vel de atividade f&iacute;sica (AF): para verificar o n&iacute;vel de AF praticado durante o recesso, os atletas responderam um recordat&oacute;rio semanal de AF<sup>12</sup>.</font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">Antropometria: a avalia&ccedil;&atilde;o antropom&eacute;trica foi realizada durante a primeira sess&atilde;o experimental por um avaliador com experi&ecirc;ncia de 5 anos. As medidas da massa corporal, estatura e as dobras cut&acirc;neas foram realizadas de acordo com a padroniza&ccedil;&atilde;o de Lohman<sup>13</sup>. O erro t&eacute;cnico da medida, obtido de acordo com sugest&atilde;o de Perini et al.<sup>14</sup>, foi de 5.1&#37; (aceit&aacute;vel). O coeficiente de correla&ccedil;&atilde;o intraclasse (ICC) para as medidas de dobras cut&acirc;neas foi de 0.87-0.91. A densidade corporal foi estimada a partir das equa&ccedil;&otilde;es de Faulkner<sup>15</sup> e a composi&ccedil;&atilde;o corporal foi estimada pela equa&ccedil;&atilde;o de Siri<sup>16</sup>.</font></p>     ]]></body>
<body><![CDATA[<p><font face="Verdana" size="2">Avalia&ccedil;&atilde;o neuromuscular: ap&oacute;s avalia&ccedil;&atilde;o antropom&eacute;trica os atletas realizaram aquecimento geral conforme o programa FIFA 11 <sup>+17</sup> elaborado pelo Centro de Investiga&ccedil;&atilde;o Cient&iacute;fica e de Avalia&ccedil;&atilde;o M&eacute;dica da FIFA (F-MARC). Esse programa &eacute; constitu&iacute;do de 15 exerc&iacute;cios que devem ser realizados em 3 etapas progressivas, assim determinadas: i) corrida com velocidade reduzida e combinada com alongamentos ativos; ii) exerc&iacute;cios de for&ccedil;a para o centro de equil&iacute;brio do corpo (core), para os membros inferiores e de pliometria e agilidade com 3 n&iacute;veis de dificuldade crescentes; e iii) corrida em velocidade moderada/alta combinada com movimentos de mudan&ccedil;a de dire&ccedil;&atilde;o. O FIFA 11 <sup>+</sup> tem-se mostrado apropriado para melhorar o desempenho f&iacute;sico<sup>18</sup> e tamb&eacute;m efetivo para preven&ccedil;&atilde;o de les&otilde;es de jovens atletas<sup>19,20</sup>. Ap&oacute;s o aquecimento, um intervalo de recupera&ccedil;&atilde;o de 10 min foi concedido aos atletas que, em seguida, realizaram os testes de SV e de velocidade linear.</font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">A capacidade de SV foi medida por uma plataforma de contato (Smartspeed System, Fusion Sport, Austr&aacute;lia), por meio da medida da altura dos saltos verticais com e sem contramovimento (SVCC e SVSC, respectivamente), conforme recomenda&ccedil;&otilde;es previamente descritas<sup>21</sup>. O tempo de voo foi obtido a partir da equa&ccedil;&atilde;o de Bosco et al.<sup>21</sup> e a pot&ecirc;ncia absoluta e relativa foi calculada pela equa&ccedil;&atilde;o proposta por Sayers et al.<sup>22</sup>.</font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">Todos os atletas eram devidamente familiarizados com a execu&ccedil;&atilde;o de ambos os tipos de saltos. Cada atleta realizou 3 tentativas de cada tipo de salto (i.e.; SVSC e SVCC), com intervalo de 15 s entre cada tentativa e 2 min de intervalo entre cada tipo de salto. Os atletas foram instru&iacute;dos a saltar o mais alto poss&iacute;vel. Para an&aacute;lise estat&iacute;stica foi considerado o melhor resultado do SVSC e do SVCC. Os ICCs do SVSC e do SVCC foram de, respectivamente, 0.97 e 0.98.</font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">A velocidade linear foi mensurada pelo teste de 20 m (T-20 m). C&eacute;lulas fotoel&eacute;tricas (Smartspeed-Fusion, Austr&aacute;lia) foram posicionadas no ponto inicial (0), 5, 10 e 20 m. Os atletas se posicionaram no ponto inicial e foram instru&iacute;dos a realizar o percurso o mais rapidamente poss&iacute;vel. Cada atleta realizou 3 tentativas, com um intervalo de 3 min entre cada tentativa. O melhor resultado foi considerado para an&aacute;lise. O erro de medida do equipamento &eacute; menor que 0.03 s em 30 m<sup>23</sup>. Os ICCs dos tempos para as dist&acirc;ncias de 0-5, 0-10 e 0-20 m foram de 0.91, 0.95 e 0.97, respectivamente.</font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2"><i>An&aacute;lise estat&iacute;stica</i></font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">A normalidade dos dados foi verificada pelo teste de Shapiro-Wilk. Os dados foram apresentados em m&eacute;dia e desvio-padr&atilde;o. Conforme a distribui&ccedil;&atilde;o dos dados, aplicou-se o test t pareado de Student (distribui&ccedil;&atilde;o param&eacute;trica) ou o teste de Wilcoxon (distribui&ccedil;&atilde;o n&atilde;o param&eacute;trica). Para verifica&ccedil;&atilde;o da influ&ecirc;ncia do destreinamento entre os momentos PR&Eacute; e P&Oacute;S, foi calculado o delta percentual (Î" &#37;) por meio da equa&ccedil;&atilde;o: Î" &#37; = &#091;momento P&Oacute;S x 100)/(momento PR&Eacute;)-100&#093;. O n&iacute;vel de signific&acirc;ncia adotado foi de p &lt; 0.05. Para essas an&aacute;lises utilizou-se o programa STATISTICA 6.0. O tamanho do efeito (<i>effect size</i> &#091;TE&#093;) tamb&eacute;m foi calculado conforme a sugest&atilde;o de Cohen<sup>24</sup>, onde 0.2 = efeito pequeno, 0.5 = efeito moderado e 0.8 = efeito grande. Adicionalmente, para verificar a chance percentual de o destreinamento ter sido ben&eacute;fico (efeito positivo ao destreinamento) ou prejudicial (efeito negativo ao destreinamento), foi aplicado o modelo de an&aacute;lise da infer&ecirc;ncia pr&aacute;tica baseada em magnitudes. Para c&aacute;lculo da an&aacute;lise da infer&ecirc;ncia pr&aacute;tica baseada em magnitudes, no caso dos dados com distribui&ccedil;&atilde;o n&atilde;o-normal, aplicou-se uma transforma&ccedil;&atilde;o por logaritmo natural. A m&iacute;nima mudan&ccedil;a percentual detect&aacute;vel foi calculada multiplicando-se o desvio-padr&atilde;o inicial baseado no tamanho de efeito por 0.20. A chance de o destreinamento ser considerado positivo, nulo ou negativo foi calculada e avaliada qualitativamente da seguinte forma: &lt; 1&#37; trivial (quase certamente n&atilde;o); 1-5&#37; muito improv&aacute;vel; 5-25&#37; improv&aacute;vel; 25-75&#37; poss&iacute;vel; 75-95&#37; prov&aacute;vel; 95-99&#37; muito prov&aacute;vel e &gt; 99&#37; quase certamente sim. Se os valores negativos e positivos apresentassem resultados &gt; 5&#37;, a infer&ecirc;ncia era considerada inconclusiva<sup>25,26</sup>. Essa an&aacute;lise foi realizada por meio das planilhas dispon&iacute;veis em: <a target="_blank" href="http://sportsci.org/2006/wghcontrial.htm">http://sportsci.org/2006/wghcontrial.htm</a><sup>27</sup>.</font></p>     <p>&nbsp;</p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2"><b>Resultados</b></font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">N&atilde;o houve diferen&ccedil;a significante no tempo de pr&aacute;tica de AF entre a 1.<sup>a</sup> e a 2.<sup>a</sup> semana (103 &plusmn; 31 min vs. 94 &plusmn; 22 min, respectivamente; p &gt; 0.05).</font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">Os resultados antropom&eacute;tricos e da composi&ccedil;&atilde;o corporal est&atilde;o descritos na <a href="#t1">tabela 1</a>.</font></p>     ]]></body>

<body><![CDATA[<p><font face="Verdana" size="2">O n&iacute;vel de AF durante o recesso dos jogadores ficou abaixo da recomenda&ccedil;&atilde;o internacional para manuten&ccedil;&atilde;o da aptid&atilde;o f&iacute;sica<sup>28</sup> e, mesmo com a limita&ccedil;&atilde;o do tempo total de AF a n&atilde;o indicar a qualidade com que uma dada tarefa &eacute; realizada, ainda assim foi constatado que os atletas realmente reduziram a carga de trabalho f&iacute;sico em rela&ccedil;&atilde;o ao per&iacute;odo de treinamento e assegura a possibilidade de alcan&ccedil;ar o objetivo do trabalho.</font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">Quanto &agrave; composi&ccedil;&atilde;o corporal, estudos pr&eacute;vios demonstraram varia&ccedil;&atilde;o do &#37;GC entre 7.6-16.2&#37;<sup>29</sup>. Embora os valores de &#37;GC encontrados no presente estudo estivessem dentro dessa faixa, variando em aproximadamente 3.0&#37; entre os momentos PR&Eacute; e P&Oacute;S, esses resultados foram superiores aos reportados em futebolistas profissionais da primeira divis&atilde;o espanhola (&#37;GC = 8.6 &plusmn; 0.9&#37;)<sup>30</sup> e tamb&eacute;m em jogadores profissionais da primeira divis&atilde;o da Gr&eacute;cia (&#37;GC &asymp; 9&#37;)<sup>31</sup>. Por outro lado, os achados do presente estudo foram similares aos descritos em outros estudos, que verificaram &#37;GC de 11.8 &plusmn; 2.0&#37; em atletas profissionais sub19<sup>32</sup>, de 12.6&#37; &plusmn; 2.3&#37; em jogadores sub16, 13.0 &plusmn; 5.0&#37; no sub15 e 12.5 &plusmn; 2.6&#37; no sub14<sup>33</sup>. De fato, a massa corp&oacute;rea de jogadores pode variar de acordo com a posi&ccedil;&atilde;o do jogador, o seu n&iacute;vel competitivo e at&eacute; mesmo pelo per&iacute;odo da temporada<sup>9</sup>. Assim, apesar das limita&ccedil;&otilde;es metodol&oacute;gicas das dobras cut&acirc;neas, como, por exemplo, dificuldade de comparar resultados de estudos que utilizaram equa&ccedil;&otilde;es diferentes; menor precis&atilde;o de estimativa em rela&ccedil;&atilde;o &agrave;s medidas indiretas e tamb&eacute;m experi&ecirc;ncia dos avaliadores<sup>34</sup>, essas limita&ccedil;&otilde;es n&atilde;o comprometeram os resultados do presente estudo j&aacute; que, al&eacute;m do mesmo avaliador, houve manuten&ccedil;&atilde;o de todos os procedimentos entre os momentos PR&Eacute; e P&Oacute;S. Desse modo, o aumento significante do &#37;GC no momento P&Oacute;S em rela&ccedil;&atilde;o ao PR&Eacute; est&aacute; de acordo com um estudo anterior que descreveu aumento superior a 11&#37; no &#37;GC ap&oacute;s um per&iacute;odo de 6 semanas de destreinamento<sup>31</sup>. Esse resultado sugere que os atletas investigados nesse estudo reduziram o disp&ecirc;ndio energ&eacute;tico e/ou aumentaram o consumo cal&oacute;rico durante o per&iacute;odo de destreinamento, o que pode ter acarretado em altera&ccedil;&atilde;o do balan&ccedil;o energ&eacute;tico, e modifica&ccedil;&atilde;o significante da composi&ccedil;&atilde;o corporal do grupo.</font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">O aumento do &#37;GC e da redu&ccedil;&atilde;o da velocidade ap&oacute;s 2 semanas de destreinamento corroboram com resultados de estudos pr&eacute;vios, que demonstraram associa&ccedil;&atilde;o inversa entre a quantidade relativa de GC e o desempenho f&iacute;sico. Sporis et al.<sup>35</sup>, por exemplo, encontraram correla&ccedil;&atilde;o inversa entre o &#37;GC e a velocidade de 0-5 m (r = -0.86), o SVSC (r = -0.78) e o SVCC (r = -0.92).</font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">Os valores de SVSC e SVCC (&asymp; 36 cm) encontrados no presente estudo ficaram abaixo dos reportados em jogadores profissionais da primeira divis&atilde;o da Gr&eacute;cia, que apresentaram resultados de aproximadamente 40 cm no SVSC e de 42 cm no SVCC<sup>32</sup>, e tamb&eacute;m aos valores reportados em futebolistas das sele&ccedil;&otilde;es italianas sub17, sub20 e sub21 que saltaram no SVSC e no SVCC, respectivamente, 37.3 &plusmn; 4.7 cm e 40.9 &plusmn; 5.1 cm; 38.0 &plusmn; 4.9 cm e 40.2 &plusmn; 4.7 cm e 37.0 &plusmn; 3.9 cm 40.3 &plusmn; 4.3 cm<sup>36</sup>. Os resultados de SV encontrados no presente estudo tamb&eacute;m foram inferiores aos apresentados por atletas sub17 da sele&ccedil;&atilde;o chinesa e sub19 da sele&ccedil;&atilde;o da Tun&iacute;sia que atingiram, respectivamente, valores m&eacute;dios de SVSC pr&oacute;ximos de 39 e 51 cm<sup>32,37</sup>. Na elite da Isl&acirc;ndia, os jogadores obtiveram marcas pr&oacute;ximas a 38 cm no SVSC e a 39.4 cm no SVCC<sup>34</sup>. Em jogadores sub19 da elite portuguesa, Rebelo et al.<sup>39</sup> reportaram alturas em torno de 38.3 cm no SVSC e de 39.5 cm no SVCC, enquanto a elite do futebol espanhol apresentou valores de SVCC pr&oacute;ximos de 44 cm<sup>40</sup>. Apesar dos menores valores de SV encontrados no presente trabalho em rela&ccedil;&atilde;o aos trabalhos citados anteriormente, esses resultados foram semelhantes aos reportados em atletas sub19 de n&iacute;vel regional da Espanha, que apresentam valores m&eacute;dios de SVCC pr&oacute;ximos a 36 cm<sup>41</sup>.</font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">De fato, a altura do SV tem sido amplamente utilizada para avaliar a pot&ecirc;ncia muscular nos membros inferiores sendo para alguns autores, inclusive, uma ferramenta capaz de discriminar jogadores de distintos n&iacute;veis competitivos<sup>32,38</sup>. Contudo, essa medida parece variar bastante quando se analisam estudos realizados com futebolistas de diferentes n&iacute;veis competitivos ou de distintas faixas et&aacute;rias. Entre os fatores que podem explicar, ainda que parcialmente, as diferen&ccedil;as encontradas no SV de futebolistas destacam-se os aspectos gen&eacute;ticos<sup>42</sup>, o tipo/estado de treinamento f&iacute;sico dos atletas<sup>43</sup> e tamb&eacute;m a motiva&ccedil;&atilde;o dos jogadores para a realiza&ccedil;&atilde;o dos testes<sup>41,44</sup>. Al&eacute;m desses fatores, ao comparar resultados de diferentes estudos tamb&eacute;m se deve considerar o protocolo de teste de SV utilizado em cada estudo<sup>1</sup>, o tipo de aquecimento pr&eacute;vio executado<sup>45,46</sup> e at&eacute; mesmo o equipamento utilizado na mensura&ccedil;&atilde;o da altura dos saltos<sup>46</sup>. No presente estudo, pelo fato de as medidas terem sido realizadas com os mesmos equipamentos e os testes terem sido executados sempre nas mesmas condi&ccedil;&otilde;es nos momentos PR&Eacute; e P&Oacute;S, parece que nenhum desses fatores influenciou negativamente as an&aacute;lises. Assim, os achados do presente trabalho parecem n&atilde;o apresentar vi&eacute;s de interpreta&ccedil;&atilde;o quanto aos fatores de confus&atilde;o e trazem informa&ccedil;&otilde;es pr&aacute;ticas importantes, n&atilde;o somente por caracterizar a altura de saltos de jovens jogadores da elite do futebol brasileiro, mas tamb&eacute;m por demonstrar pela primeira vez que um per&iacute;odo de destreinamento de 15 dias n&atilde;o foi suficiente para promover altera&ccedil;&otilde;es significantes no desempenho do SV (p &gt; 0.05). Ainda assim, a infer&ecirc;ncia qualitativa foi capaz de demonstrar um poss&iacute;vel aumento no desempenho do SVSC (&#37; de chance 00/40/60), demonstrando que o rendimento nesse salto pode ser potencializado pelo destreinamento. Entretanto, estudos futuros devem investigar se a magnitude desses efeitos pode ou n&atilde;o ser influenciada por per&iacute;odos maiores ou menores de destreino, tentando estabelecer um per&iacute;odo &oacute;timo para essas adapta&ccedil;&otilde;es.</font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">A velocidade tamb&eacute;m tem sido considerada uma vari&aacute;vel com capacidade de discriminar o desempenho competitivo no futebol, pois &eacute; a a&ccedil;&atilde;o motora que ocorre com maior frequ&ecirc;ncia antes de um gol<sup>47-51</sup>. Haugen et al.<sup>52</sup>, por exemplo, num estudo populacional realizado com atletas noruegueses, reportaram que jogadores da sele&ccedil;&atilde;o e da primeira divis&atilde;o eram mais r&aacute;pidos do que jogadores da segunda divis&atilde;o (1.0 e 1.4&#37;, respectivamente; p &lt; 0.05) e tamb&eacute;m do que juniores da sele&ccedil;&atilde;o nacional (1.7 e 2.2&#37;, respectivamente). Segundo Stolen et al.<sup>1</sup>, jogadores de futebol devem levar em m&eacute;dia 1.05, 1.84 e 3.08 s para percorrer, respectivamente, 5, 10 e 20 m. Esses valores aproximam-se aos encontrados no presente estudo, por&eacute;m, o tempo obtido pela nossa amostra na dist&acirc;ncia de 0-5 m foi superior aos descritos em jogadores profissionais do futebol espanhol (0.99 &plusmn; 0.05 s)<sup>53</sup>, mas assemelharam-se aos encontrados em jogadores sub17 estrangeiros que atuam na B&eacute;lgica (1.07 &plusmn; 0.07 s)<sup>54</sup> e tamb&eacute;m aos chineses da sele&ccedil;&atilde;o nacional sub17<sup>37</sup>. Adicionalmente, os futebolistas avaliados no presente trabalho foram mais velozes do que jogadores da primeira divis&atilde;o da Cro&aacute;cia (1.44 &plusmn; 0.5 s)<sup>35</sup> e juniores tunisianos (2.16 &plusmn; 0.5 s<sup>55</sup> e 1.4 &plusmn; 0.15 s<sup>49</sup>). Quanto &agrave; velocidade de 0-10 m expressa em unidade de tempo, os resultados encontrados no presente estudo foram superiores aos reportados em jogadores brasileiros juniores (1.71 &plusmn; 0.14 s) e adultos (1.74 &plusmn; 0.11 s) da primeira divis&atilde;o do futebol paranaense<sup>56</sup>, da primeira divis&atilde;o de Portugal (1.69 &plusmn; 0.03 s)<sup>57</sup> e da primeira divis&atilde;o da Inglaterra (1.75 &plusmn; 0.08 s)<sup>58</sup>; assemelharam-se ainda aos encontrados em jogadores da primeira divis&atilde;o da Fran&ccedil;a (1.82 &plusmn; 0.08 s)<sup>59</sup>, da Inglaterra (1.83 &plusmn; 0.08 s)<sup>60</sup>, da Noruega (1.82 &plusmn; 0.30 s)<sup>61</sup>, sub17 estrangeiros que atuam na B&eacute;lgica (1.81 &plusmn; 0.08 s)<sup>54</sup> e inferior aos encontrados em jogadores da primeira divis&atilde;o da Cro&aacute;cia (2.27 &plusmn; 0.4 s)<sup>35</sup>, a futebolistas amadores espanh&oacute;is sub21<sup>62</sup> (1.92 &plusmn; 0.06 s) e tamb&eacute;m aos chineses da sele&ccedil;&atilde;o nacional sub17 (1.85 &plusmn; 0.07 s)<sup>37</sup>. Em rela&ccedil;&atilde;o ao tempo para a dist&acirc;ncia de 0-20 m, os resultados encontrados no presente estudo foram superiores aos encontrados por Wisloff et al.<sup>61</sup> em jogadores noruegueses da elite (3.00 &plusmn; 0.30 s) e futebolistas brasileiros que atuam na primeira divis&atilde;o paranaense (2.97 &plusmn; 0.07 s). O tempo de 0-10 m encontrado no presente trabalho tamb&eacute;m se assemelhou aos reportados em jogadores sub17 estrangeiros que atuam na B&eacute;lgica (3.12 &plusmn; 0.12 s)<sup>54</sup>, aos de futebolistas da sele&ccedil;&atilde;o sub17 da China (3.18 &plusmn; 0.11s)<sup>37</sup> e ainda foram inferiores aos encontrados em jogadores croatas (3.38 &plusmn; 0.7 s)<sup>35</sup> e espanh&oacute;is amadores sub21 (3.22 &plusmn; 0.09 s)<sup>62</sup>.</font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">Quanto a influ&ecirc;ncia do destreinamento na capacidade neuromuscular de jogadores de futebol, os resultados do presente estudo corroboram com estudos pr&eacute;vios que fizeram an&aacute;lise estat&iacute;stica quantitativa e demonstraram que curtos per&iacute;odos de destreinamento n&atilde;o foram suficientes para provocar altera&ccedil;&otilde;es metab&oacute;licas e/ou morfol&oacute;gicas que resultassem em queda de desempenho de velocidade, for&ccedil;a e/ou pot&ecirc;ncia<sup>7,63-66</sup>. Nesse sentido, seria plaus&iacute;vel supor que o treinamento concorrente, comumente adotado no futebol, pudesse ocasionar redu&ccedil;&otilde;es dos poss&iacute;veis ganhos em vari&aacute;veis de desempenho associados &agrave; for&ccedil;a/velocidade/pot&ecirc;ncia. Assim, quando os altos volumes de exerc&iacute;cio aer&oacute;bio s&atilde;o suprimidos durante o destreinamento, eles podem anular as perdas do desempenho neuromuscular devido &agrave; retirada do efeito concorrente do treinamento<sup>67</sup>. Alguns autores, inclusive, t&ecirc;m sugerido que a capacidade da pot&ecirc;ncia neuromuscular pode se manter inalterada mesmo ap&oacute;s per&iacute;odos de destreinamento de 90 dias<sup>6,68,69</sup>. De fato, os efeitos do destreinamento de curto e longo prazo j&aacute; est&atilde;o bem descritos na literatura<sup>6,7</sup>. No entanto, o conhecimento sobre os poss&iacute;veis preju&iacute;zos causados pelo destreinamento no desempenho f&iacute;sico de jovens jogadores de futebol &eacute; limitado. Pelo menos at&eacute; onde sabemos, descrevemos pela primeira vez os efeitos de 2 semanas de destreinamento na pot&ecirc;ncia muscular e na velocidade de jovens jogadores da elite do futebol brasileiro, pois os estudos que verificaram o efeito do destreinamento em jovens jogadores de futebol reportam redu&ccedil;&atilde;o da capacidade e pot&ecirc;ncia aer&oacute;bica ap&oacute;s 6 semanas de destreinamento<sup>5</sup> e redu&ccedil;&atilde;o na &aacute;rea de sec&ccedil;&atilde;o transversa e da atividade enzim&aacute;tica ap&oacute;s 8 semanas de destreinamento<sup>10</sup>. No entanto, nenhum dos estudos citados avaliou pot&ecirc;ncia e velocidade, o que impossibilita extrapola&ccedil;&otilde;es em rela&ccedil;&atilde;o aos achados do presente estudo.</font></p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2">Sumarizando, os achados do presente trabalho sugerem que, apesar do aumento significante no &#37;GC de jovens futebolistas de elite, 2 semanas de destreinamento n&atilde;o foram suficientes para produzir redu&ccedil;&otilde;es significantes nos desempenhos de pot&ecirc;ncia muscular e velocidade c&iacute;clica nesses atletas. Com isso, mesmo com algumas limita&ccedil;&otilde;es do presente trabalho, os seus resultados trazem informa&ccedil;&otilde;es importantes para a &aacute;rea, especialmente pela inclus&atilde;o das an&aacute;lises de TE e da infer&ecirc;ncia qualitativa que permitem determinar a magnitude do efeito de um determinado tratamento, podendo auxiliar os profissionais do esporte na interpreta&ccedil;&atilde;o e na aplica&ccedil;&atilde;o desses resultados em quest&otilde;es que envolvem ajustes morfofuncionais de jovens atletas ap&oacute;s interven&ccedil;&otilde;es de treinamento ou destreinamento e que s&atilde;o uma realidade das categorias menores do futebol brasileiro. Desse modo, os achados apresentados provocam reflex&otilde;es acerca de alguns conceitos pr&eacute;-concebidos no futebol, como por exemplo, a ideia de que a pr&eacute; ou a intertemporada devam concentrar altas cargas de trabalho f&iacute;sico com objetivo de se recuperar a forma f&iacute;sica, supostamente, perdida durante as f&eacute;rias/recesso.</font></p>     <p>&nbsp;</p>     <p><font face="Verdana" size="2"><b>Conflito de interesses</b></font></p>     ]]></body>
