</abstract>

Taking part in artistic and cultural activities enhances our physical and mental health, improves our psychological, physiological and social well-being and even impacts the adoption of healthier behaviours and honing of skills to enhance our lives. In 2023, the WHO European Office for the Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) in collaboration with the Behavioural and Cultural Insight programme published a new report. This emphasized the need to leverage this growing momentum by creating interdisciplinary networks (art and health) and advocating for local, regional and national policies. Sustaining this growing momentum requires raised awareness about the validity of the art and health approach by means of intersectoral collaboration, showcasing best practices and professional training.
</abstract>
