Objetivo:  Identificar los efectos del teletrabajo sobre la salud laboral y la seguridad ocupacional de los trabajadores.  Fuente de datos:  Pubmed, DOAJ, Jstor, Thieme, Science Direct, Scielo y Redalyc.  Criterios de elegibilidad:  Estudios empíricos de salud ocupacional que analicen las dinámicas de teletrabajo de empleos no manuales, cuyo fin sea generar evidencia sobre los efectos del teletrabajo en la salud de los teletrabajadores.  Evaluación de los estudios:  Lista de Downs y Black, para verificar el el rigor metodológico.  Métodos de síntesis:  A partir del análisis de las posturas de los investigadores sobre los efectos del teletrabajo en el bienestar laboral de los teletrabajadores, los estudios recabados fueron organizados en las categorías &#8220;pesimista&#8221;, &#8220;optimista&#8221;, &#8220;escéptico&#8221; y &#8220;ambivalente&#8221;.  Resultados:  Le localizó un total de 14 artículos de investigación empírica que estudian la salud de los teletrabajadores desde el punto de vista de la salud ocupacional entre 2000 y 2020. De acuerdo con sus conclusiones sobre el impacto del teletrabajo en el bienestar laboral, fueron clasificados en cuatro grupos: optimistas (5), pesimistas (5), ambivalentes (1) y escépticos (3).  Limitaciones:  No se consideraron aquellos estudios que abordan el tema planteado desde el enfoque empresarial o productivo, y tampoco se incluyó información en idiomas diferentes al inglés o español, o aquellos estudios publicados en formato impreso.  Conclusiones:  Los principales temas de interés sobre el teletrabajo son el manejo del estrés, los problemas ergonómicos y psicosociales, y la capacitación.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT  Research objective: to identify the effects of home office on workplace health and safety.  Data source:  Pubmed, DOAJ, Jstor, Thieme, Science Direct, Scielo and Redalyc.  Eligibility criteria:  any published empirical paper on workplace health that contributes to analyze the dynamics of home office in non-manual jobs in order to generate evidence on the effects of remote working on the workers' health.  Papers' evaluation:  the Downs and Black List was used to verify methodological rigor.  Synthesis methods:  papers collected were organized into four categories: &#8220;pessimistic&#8221;, &#8220;optimistic&#8221;, &#8220;skeptical&#8221; and &#8220;ambivalent&#8221;, based on their positions on the effects of home office on workers' well-being.  Results:  14 empirical research articles that study the health of home office workers were located. They were published between 2000 and 2020. All of them adopt an occupational health point of view. According to their conclusions on the impact of home office on occupational well-being, they were classified into four groups: optimistic (5), pessimistic (5), ambivalent (1) and skeptical (3).  Limitations:  articles that address the topic from a business perspective were not considered. Information in languages different than English or Spanish was not included. Papers published in printed format only were not incluided.  Conclusions:  the main topics of interest about home office are stress management, ergonomic and psychosocial problems, and training.]]></p></abstract>
