Objetivo:  Determinar la prevalencia y factores asociados a hipoacusia en trabajadores del sector alimentos en Bogotá, en 2022.  Material y Métodos:  Estudio observacional analítico de corte transversal.  Muestra:  432 trabajadores seleccionados de bases de datos de vigilancia epidemiológica.  Resultados:  La prevalencia de hipoacusia fue 8,8%. Se encontró asociación significativa entre hipoacusia y el sexo masculino (OR= 6,10 [95% IC:1,74 - 21,36]; p = 0,005), el ruido ocupacional por encima del Valor Límite Permitido (VLP) (OR=5,92 [95% IC:2,70 - 12,90]; p &lt; 0,001), la hipertensión arterial (OR=3,52 [95% IC:1,20 - 10,29]; p = 0,021) y el tabaquismo (OR=3,05 [95% IC:1,29 - 7,21]; p = 0,011).  Conclusiones:  La prevalencia de hipoacusia fue menor a la encontrada en otros estudios. El sexo masculino, el ruido ocupacional por encima de VLP, la hipertensión arterial y tabaquismo son factores asociados con hipoacusia que explican el 92,1% de casos de este estudio.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT  Objective:  this study aims to investigate the prevalence and risk factors associated with hearing loss in food industry workers in Bogotá, in 2022.  Material and Methods:  Cross-sectional analytical observational study.  Sample:  432 workers selected from epidemiological surveillance databases.  Results:  The prevalence of hearing loss was 8.8%. A significant association was found between hearing loss and Male sex (OR= 6,10 [95% CI:1,74 - 21,36]; p = 0,005), occupational noise above the Limited permissible values (LPV) (OR=5,92 [95% CI:2,70 - 12,90]; p &lt; 0,001), high blood pressure (OR=3,52 [95% CI:1,20 - 10,29]; p = 0,021) and smoking (OR=3,05 [95% CI:1,29 - 7,21]; p = 0,011) were risk factors associated with hearing loss.
