Aims.

To analyse the education in pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in the universities in Spain.

Material and methods.

A survey was sent to those responsible for Pediatrics at the Spanish universities.

Results.

35 responses from Medicine and 18 from Nursing were received). There was a great diversity in CPR teaching and duration. In many cases, the duration of the training is insufficient.

Conclusions.

It is necessary to establish mandatory training requirements in pediatric CPR for Medicine and Nursing degrees.
