Abstract

Data protection is a key issue for all the sanitary system. Doctors and nurses are thoroughly educated in this area due to the importance of the good practice in data protection. However, it is advisable for the medical and sanitary staff to regularly remind the basic aspects that will help to protect the confidentiality and professional secrecy. In Occupational Health, it is also required to protect the amount of data that are managed about many workers and businesses. This is intended to provide several good practices in this way. There are numerous references in the bibliography regarding general data protection in the healthcare system, but not so many about specific areas such as Occupational Medicine and Occupational Health.
